Casa Otro serves our community as an oasis for the creative contemplation of what connects rather than divides us. As a gallery, art residency and creative gathering space, we believe in the power of art to transform walls of separation into bridges of understanding.

We embrace the paradox that we are each "other," and that there is no "other"- that there is only us. Every unique voice, perspective, and creative act reflects a fragment of the larger whole we call nosotros -"us-others."

When we experience our shared humanity as the starting point for creative contemplation, we gain a critical lens to explore, express, and celebrate the rich diversity of our individual and collective identities.

Believing that all our borderlands, both literal and conceptual, are the most fertile grounds for creative exchange, we strive to curate spaces within them, where the very boundaries often used to divide us have the opportunity to become thresholds for transcendent connection.
