50hr Meditation and Yoga Philosophy Immersion

Saturdays & Sundays - October 10th - 25th

Take A Journey of Self-Discovery: This immersive meditation training explores meditation not simply as a technique, but as a pathway for living with greater awareness, wisdom, and authenticity.

Join Jason Wright and Jane Bloom for a 50-hour meditation immersion at Casa Otro in Mesilla. Over five days you'll explore a variety of meditation practices drawn from the traditions of Yoga, Buddhism, and Tantra, while also learning the philosophy that supports these practices and helps bring them into everyday life.

Meditation has the power to transform the way you experience yourself and the world around you. Modern research continues to demonstrate the measurable benefits of meditation, including improved sleep, reduced stress and anxiety, greater focus, and enhanced emotional wellbeing.

But the true depth of meditation is often discovered beyond what can be measured, such as experiencing a healthier relationship with yourself, stronger relationships with others, a deeper sense of belonging, greater clarity, self-understanding, purpose, presence, connection, and inner joy.

Each day combines dynamic & silent meditations, guided practices, mindful movement, breathwork, philosophy discussions, and experiential exercises designed to help you develop a deeper understanding of meditation and create a sustainable practice that supports your life.

Rather than leaving with only one meditation technique, you'll develop a broader understanding of different approaches and discover the practices that best support you in different moments and seasons of life.

You will leave with a practical toolkit of meditation practices and a broader understanding of different approaches, discovering the practices that best support you in different moments and seasons of life.

Who is this Training For?

This training is designed for beginners, experienced meditators, and yoga teachers who wish to include more yoga philosophy and meditation in their teaching practice. If you are new to meditation, this immersion will provide a strong foundation and practical tools to begin your journey.

If you already have a meditation practice, this training offers an opportunity to explore new techniques, deepen your understanding, reconnect with your practice, and find fresh inspiration.

This training is also for anyone who is interested in deep self-inquiry. The ancient wisdom of Yoga philosophy not only supports meditation but also provides guidance for navigating the complexities of everyday life and insight for living in alignment, purpose, and connection.

No previous meditation or yoga experience is required—only curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Through meditation and yoga philosophy, this experience directly supports the vision of Casa Otro - from otherness to oneness. Casa Otro’s vision is “To provide resources of creativity and mindfulness necessary for the thoughtful deconstruction of the ideological architecture of “other.” We envision a world where there is no marginalized or oppressed “other,” and where the uniqueness and beauty of all identities — individual and communal — can be expressed, valued, and celebrated as integral to our shared understanding.

This training is an extension of Casa Otro’s mission and Embodied Arts program, supporting the vision of moving from otherness to oneness by creating a world where “the uniqueness and beauty of all identities… can be expressed, valued, and celebrated.” Through meditation and yoga, participants cultivate presence, compassion, and connection, helping them recognize our shared humanity while honoring what makes each of us unique.
